Gentle Friday morning

I missed my usual Thursday morning ride due to being fast asleep in bed, so I thought I would take on the gentler Friday ride. It was quite a pleasant morning with Mark joining Cacophony and myself. Turned out to be a fairly brisk spin up to the Cavendish followed by an even quicker return with an "out of the saddle" high gear sprint up Nesfield. Quite enjoyed it actually...

Another Tuesday night

Tuesday night route was the classic Barden - Embsay again, though 5 riders tonight, a much better showing than last week! I really like this route, and setting off in the fading daylight was an added bonus. It was hard work on the way out into yet another stiff headwind (only seems to blow in one direction round here). Stayed with the pace until very near the top of the climb, then we regrouped before Embsay to be blown back through Halton East. The pace was high on the return leg all the way back to Ilkley. Great fun. I'm really enjoying my cycling at the moment.
